My wife and I decided it would be a good idea to build a house remotely (in Greenville from Madison) at the same time we were raising our first little one (6 months old), changing jobs, moving, etc. Yeesh, it was a busy year.

Scott took the time to answer my endless questions and emails before, during, and after the building process. He provided me with details I was asking for and even snapped pictures and emailed them to us so we could make changes remotely. Amazing communication! Anja and I wanted to take a few minutes to let you know how pleased we are with our new home in Greenridge Terrace. We had done a lot of research in regards to quality and value when it comes to new construction. After meeting with you we felt that you were offering the high quality construction that we were looking for at a fair and honest price.
Throughout construction you offered a building process that was not only professional, but also friendly and fun. This was our first new home construction and even though we did a lot of research up front, you still managed to offer new ideas and concepts that we had not thought of.

We briefly met with many builders prior to deciding to work with Silvercrest Homes. We were initially interested in working with Scott Murphy because we liked many of the homes that he built in the Parade of Homes tours. My wife and I never thought at this point in our lives that we could entertain the idea of building a new home. We did our research and found that buying a newer home with some of the things we wanted cost the same, if not more, than building a Silvercrest Homes home with everything we wanted.
The whole process went very fast. Silvercrest Homes helped us find and negotiate the purchase of our lot and it wasn't a week later that the hole was dug and the footings were set. I was truly amazed that they broke ground in April and we had occupancy in July. I have to say that all of our ideas were incorporated into the project if they made some sort of sense. We are truly in love with our new house. Now we can't wait to finish off the basement.
